Welcome back. I created this card for the keen stampers who come to class twice each month. I do a second set of projects for them and this was one of them in November. I started with an idea from Tammy Beard, her card had the gift holder and was a lovely simple design that I wanted to use however hers was a birthday card. I then found a card by Rochelle Blok that used the Merry Christmas To All stamp set and Merry Christmas Thinlits. So I cased them both to come up with this Merry Christmas card with gift voucher holder.
As promised I’m going to show you the Make & Takes from OnStage Auckland. All of the stamps are from the new Occasions Catalogue that begins on 3 January 2019, so enjoy these sneak peeks.
Wow the months are flying by – here’s the projects created in my October card making classes. October Class Project 1 I started introducing Christmas into the mix with a card using the Joyous Noel and Merry Christmas To All stamp sets and Merry Christmas Thinlits Dies. I cased this project from Leena Girsa.
Petal Promenade Keepsake Album The Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper is pretty stunning! Beautiful floral images along with the gorgeous marbled back side make this paper irresistible. Fresh flowers were used to create this paper collection. See the process of creating the images of the blooms for the paper here. My project today is CASEd from Kim McGillis she posted this album for a blog hop in September, see her post here. A friend of mine recently had a baby girl and I was trying to decide what to make for her when I saw Kim’s post. I thought her design would be perfect.
Petal Promenade Meets Stitched Labels Squeal…, I’m so excited to share these cards with you. I am swooning over this gorgeous designer series paper and the new stitched labels framelits. This paper was created by firstly gathering hundreds of fresh flowers. They were then laid out and photographed by the designers. Not only that but the reverse sides have lovely marbled backgrounds and a stunning copper foil look. Watch how they did it in this short video. Then read on to get all the details on these 2 Petal Promenade meets Stitched Labels cards.
Garden Inspired Card Using New Big Shot Embossing Mats Welcome back, this card was inspired by a post from Kim McGillis and the beautiful cards she designed for her butterflies and flowers post in June. I wanted to use the new big shot embossing mats in my class to show how they turn your cutting dies into embossing dies. So to create my garden inspired card using new big shot embossing mats, I changed the first layer to the Springtime Impressions Thinlit Die of the spray of flowers and leaves.
