As I write this it’s windy and raining in Auckland so instead I’m dreaming of a beautiful field of daisies against a clear blue sky with a narrow lane heading towards a quaint cottage in the countryside. We will make this card during my classes this month.

Daisies are one of my favourite flowers. So I just love how Stampin’ Up! have built on the Delightful Daisy stamp set and Daisy punch to bring us a new set and punch so we can make even more daisies. Daisy Lane features 2 sizes of daisy stamps, large leaves and new sentiments.

My inspiration came from this post by France Martin I love her layout. For my card I used the new Birch background stamp, doesn’t it look just like a tree trunk! I also used 2 of the 2019 – 2020 In Colours, Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray, such pretty colours!

Measurements

  • Rococo Rose or Seaside Spray 14.9 x 21cm score at 10.5cm card base
  • Whisper White to stamp and punch out daisies and extra for sentiment depending on size
  • Whisper White 14.2 x 9.8xm to stamp in Gray Granite with Birch stamp
  • Old Olive approx. 8 x 6.5cm for the steam/leaves

You Can Make It

  1. Stamp the Birch stamp using Grey Granite Ink and adhere to the card base
  2. Stamp 2 of the large and 2 of the medium daisy using Rococo Rose or Seaside Spray ink
  3. Punch all the flowers using the coordinating punches
  4. Overlap each set of petals and adhere together, I used Tombo
  5. Stamp 2 of the stem on Old Olive using Old Olive ink. Hand cut using your paper scissors. One is shorter so not all of the stem was used.
  6. Adhere the stems then the daisies on top. I bent the petals forward a bit to lift the daisies off the page, they look more realistic this way.
