    Spring Fever

Wow, it seems that everything starts happening at once, life is livening up with spring around the corner. The Greenwoods Corner Market is starting again next weekend and I’ve just finished The Tea Party Fete today in Grey Lynn. It was a wonderful market with lots of enthusiastic children playing while the parents sipped tea, ate cake and looked around the stalls. At the Greenwoods Market there is a Decorate Your Bike event where there will be tips on safe cycling, prizes and fun while the market is on and the shops are open, so heaps to see and do on Saturday 6th. Remember too that it’s Fathers Day on…

    My Crafting Time

I went to a monthly craft group yesterday and had a wonderful time creating some beautiful cards and a cute album (we will make the album in our class this Sunday). You will see some of these also in upcoming classes, here’s a look at some of the creations. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

    Gifting with a difference

In my Craft Class this week we made a gift card holder with a difference, it contains 4 small envelopes. You choose what to put in each envelope some suggestions are; Gift Cards Tags with personal messages Chocolate Tickets to an event or show Or a mixture of these ideas and your own. The envelopes were made using the Envelope Punch Board, then we decorated them and punched a hole in the top and tied them together with a ribbon. I got the idea and tutorial from  Patty Bennett from California.

We all spend ages with our cameras pouring over the display boards, it’s a great feature of the convention. This year I have created this card from an idea that originated in the catalogue and was posted by Penny Smiley to Pinterest. I picked it up from…
